Kalaripayattu
The Story
Kalaripayattu is not just a martial art — it's a living heritage, a sacred discipline that has been passed down through generations of warriors in Kerala. Often called "the mother of all martial arts," it is believed to have inspired martial arts traditions across Asia, including the origins of Kung Fu.
Watch in awe as master practitioners, trained since childhood in the traditional kalari (arena), demonstrate breathtaking feats of agility, strength, and precision. From the fluid movements of unarmed combat to the deadly grace of weapons like the urumi (flexible sword), katari (dagger), and valum chirayum (sword and shield), every moment is a testament to centuries of dedication.
